Q: How are Viking names generated?
A: Names are generated using authentic Norse naming conventions, combining traditional Viking first names with elemental surnames (Fire, Earth, Water, Air) based on your input and gender selection.
Q: How many different results can I get?
A: There are 5 different Viking archetypes for each gender (10 total), ranging from scores of 0-2 up to 9-10, each with unique titles and personality descriptions.
Q: Can I retake the quiz?
A: Yes! Tap "Retake Quiz" on the results screen to go through the experience again with different moral choices.
Q: Are my results saved?
A: Results are not permanently saved. Each session generates fresh results based on your current quiz answers. Use the share feature to save your favorite results.
Q: What do the different Viking archetypes mean?
A: Each archetype represents different aspects of Viking culture and personality traits, from "The Goat-Puncher" (chaotic) to "Thor's Bewildering Favorite" (noble), reflecting your moral choices in the quiz.
Q: Can I turn off the background music?
A: Yes! Use the mute button (speaker icon) in the bottom-right corner of any screen to toggle the Viking background music on/off.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Problem: App crashes on startup
Solution: Force close the app and restart it. If issues persist, restart your iPhone and ensure you have iOS 14.0 or later installed.
Problem: Music not playing
Solution: Check if the mute button (speaker icon) is activated. Also verify your device's volume settings and Ring/Silent switch position.
Problem: Quiz questions not loading
Solution: Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, delete and reinstall the app.
Problem: Can't generate Viking name
Solution: Make sure you've entered a name in the text field and selected a gender. The name field cannot be empty. Try entering a different name if issues continue.
Problem: Share function not working
Solution: Ensure your device has sharing permissions enabled for Viking Choices in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos (if sharing images) or check your internet connection for social media sharing.
Problem: App appears too dark/bright
Solution: Viking Choices is designed with a dark theme optimized for the medieval aesthetic. Adjust your device's screen brightness if needed, or check if your device's Dark Mode setting is affecting the display.
